What Are 4IT Business Templates?​

4IT delivers its own Business Template CDS views — a curated library of pre-built, harmonized CDS views designed to provide a simplified and consistent data model for both SAP and BI teams.

The objective is threefold:

  • Provide a harmonized and simplified data model that bridges the gap between SAP technical structures and business-oriented analytics
  • Simplify extraction — every Business Template is ready to be used directly by the 4IT CDS ABAP Interface for full and delta replication
  • Enable AI and script-based modelling — because the structure of Business Templates is known and consistent, AI agents and transformation scripts can generate semantic layers, bronze/silver/gold pipelines, and Ontology attributes automatically, without requiring manual mapping

Where Do Business Templates Come From?​

Our Business Templates are the result of a combination of three sources of knowledge:

  • Past SAP and BI project experience — built from real-world delivery across multiple industries and customer landscapes
  • Market best practices — aligned with standard analytical patterns and common business reporting requirements
  • AI Agent knowledge — our AI agents contribute to the design, enrichment, and continuous improvement of Business Templates, ensuring they reflect the latest SAP data structures and modelling conventions

Built-In Quality: AI-Powered Testing​

One of the key differentiators of the 4IT Business Templates is that all templates — standard or customized — are pre-tested using our inbuilt AI-empowered testing tool.

The testing cycle works as follows:

  1. Each Business Template is executed against the target SAP system
  2. Results are automatically analysed for errors and warnings
  3. Where issues are detected, the AI agent iterates and automatically adapts the template — correcting field mappings, join conditions, or filter logic wherever possible
  4. The process repeats until the template passes validation

This ensures that every Business Template delivered to a customer is functionally validated against their specific SAP landscape — not just theoretically correct.
